How do I set up my first project?
  1. Go to My Projects → click + New Project (top-right).
  2. Enter your Website URL, project name, and Default Country.
  3. Click Create Project.

⚠️ Website URL cannot be changed after creation. To track a different domain, create a new project.

After setup, connect Google Search Console to unlock Clicks, Impressions, CTR, and Avg Position on your project card.

How do I connect Google Search Console?
  1. Go to My Projects → click the pencil (edit) icon on your project card.
  2. Scroll to Integrations → click Connect next to Google Search Console.
  3. Click Connect New Account → sign in with Google → click Allow.

What connecting GSC unlocks:

  • Clicks, Impressions, CTR, Avg Position on project card
  • GSC Insights — search queries and page performance
  • GSC Index Status Checker
  • Google Indexing Request
  • Brand Regex filtering

💡 Data takes 24–48 hours to appear on first sync.

How do I track keyword rankings?
  1. Go to Search → Rank Tracker from the left sidebar.
  2. Add keywords via + Add Keywords in your project.
  3. Rankings update daily — new keywords take up to 24 hours to appear.

The Rank Tracker shows current positions, daily changes, historical trends, and competitor rankings side by side.

How do I run a site audit?
  1. Go to Keyword Tools → Site Audit from the left sidebar.
  2. Enter your website URL and click Start Audit.
  3. Review the health score and issues by severity:
    • Errors — fix immediately (directly hurt rankings)
    • Warnings — address soon
    • Notices — optional improvements

Click any issue to see affected pages and step-by-step fix instructions.

How do I check my page titles and meta tags?
  1. Go to On-Page SEO → Title & Meta Analyzer.
  2. Choose GSC tab to auto-pull your pages, or Manual Entry to paste up to 50 URLs (one per line).
  3. Click Analyze.

Each page shows title and description length with a status:

  • Good — within recommended length
  • Bad — too short or too long
  • Missing — no tag found on the page

Export as CSV to fix issues in bulk.

How do I check if my pages are indexed by Google?
  1. Go to Search → GSC Index Status from the left sidebar.
  2. Browse all pages from your GSC property, or enter a specific URL to check.

Each URL shows its current status: Indexed · Not Indexed · Excluded · Error.

💡 Requires Google Search Console to be connected to your project first.

How do I submit a URL to Google for indexing?
  1. Go to Search → Google Indexing Request from the left sidebar.
  2. Enter the URL you want Google to crawl.
  3. Click Request Indexing.

Use this after publishing new content or updating an important page to speed up Google's crawl.

⚠️ Google allows ~200 requests per day. Use this for your most important new or updated pages.

How do I check my Core Web Vitals score?
  1. Go to On-Page SEO → CWV Analytics.
  2. Paste up to 10 page URLs (one per line) and click Analyze.
  3. Toggle Mobile / Desktop to compare scores across devices.

How do I invite team members to my project?
  1. Go to Team → Team Members from the left sidebar.
  2. Click Invite New Member.
  3. Enter the member's email and assign a role:
    • Owner — full access (billing, settings, team)
    • Admin — all tools + invite members
    • Viewer — read-only access

💡 Team slots by plan: Free = 1 · Pro = 3 · Growth = 10 · Custom = unlimited.

How do I upgrade my plan or buy more credits?

To upgrade your plan: Go to Account → Billing → click View Plans → select a new plan.

To buy extra credits only (without upgrading): Go to Account → Billing → scroll to Buy Extra Credits → choose a pack.

How do I connect Google Ads or Apple Search Ads?

Google Ads:

  1. Go to Google Ads → Campaign Insights from the left sidebar.
  2. Click Connect Google Ads → authorize via secure OAuth.
  3. SearchVector uses read-only access — it cannot modify your campaigns.

Apple Search Ads:

  1. Go to Apple Ads → ASA Campaign Creator.
  2. Click Connect Apple Search Ads → authorize via OAuth.

All connections can also be managed from Account → Integrations.

Where do I find my API token?

Go to Account → API Token from the left sidebar.

Your token appears masked — click the eye icon to reveal it or the copy icon to copy it to clipboard.

Where to use your token:

  • Chrome Extensions — paste in the SearchVector extension settings
  • Google Sheets Add-on — enter in the add-on configuration panel
  • Direct API calls — pass as Bearer <token> in the Authorization header

⚠️ Keep your token private. Regenerating it will invalidate it across all connected apps immediately.
